You can’t pour from an empty cup,
take care of yourself first.
1 in 26 families in the United States have a child who has been diagnosed with special needs. Regardless of the developmental challenges, ranging from processing delay to physical handicaps, parents need more support mentally, physically and financially. You may find many of your relationships, including with your life partner and other family members become strained as the focus is shifted to the special needs child.
